"HERE I AM, SEND ME"
Isaiah 6:8
Our mission
To Leverge our lives for Gospel impact in forgotten places.
We go to show the love of God because He first loved us.
We go to shine the light of the Gospel in a dark world.
We go because forgotten places need to know Jesus loves them.
We go because we are not our own. We have been bought and paid for by the precious blood of Jesus.
We go because we cannot sit idly by as people die not knowing Jesus loves them.
About Us
Moving with a heart for the people in New Bedford, MA
Hi, we are Jesse and Carrie Danner. We are NAMB missionaries currently living in Coats, North Carolina and in the process of relocating to New Bedford, Massachusetts. We have three children, Bryson (13), Carsie Grace (8) and Lawrence (3). We have been married for 15 years and met at a Christian camp, Caswell, off the coast of North Carolina while serving as part of the summer staff.
Jesse is currently completing his Masters of Divinity in Church Planting with Southeastern Theological Seminary. He has spent the majority of his career leading sales teams and driving revenue for internet based software companies. Growing up, Jesse was taught about the love of Jesus from his mother and father who spent the better half of their lives in ministry serving the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They modeled for him a life that “pressed on,” as Paul mentions in Philippians 3. Jesse teaches a small group on Sunday mornings at our home church, Coats Baptist. He is an ordained deacon of the church, as well as part of the Welcome Committee.
Carrie is a former Elementary school teacher, who now spends her days homeschooling their three children. She was raised in Coats, North Carolina and went to Coats Baptist as a child and young adult. God blessed her with a mother and father who truly embodied a servant’s heart and taught her about the love of Jesus. She currently serves as a leader for Kid Sermon at their local church as well as volunteering in the local community.
We discovered Grace Harbor Church and Neighborhood Churches through a visit to Coats Baptist from Morgan Proudfoot, lead pastor and NAMB missionary. Soon after, Jesse went on a vision trip with our church and God pricked his heart for the people of New Bedford and the Southeast coast of New England. Carrie visited months after and God began to work in her heart the same way. After much prayer and discussion, we knew God had been preparing our hearts for ministry and service in New Bedford, MA. We began the application process to be church planters with Neighborhood Churches and The North American Mission Board. We have now been approved and are currently in the process of fundraising.
As a church planter with Neighborhood Churches, we will have to be 100% self funded by oursending church and faithful givers of the ministry. We are confident God will provide the necessary funds and hope to be moving to New Bedford next summer. Please feel free to read more about our fundraising, and why we are doing so, with the FAQ and Neighborhood Churches pages.
God has, and continues to, cultivate the hearts for ministry in our family. We desire to leverage our lives for gospel change in the Northeast and are excited about where God is taking our family. Please be in prayer for us as they prepare to move to New Bedford, MA and keep up to date with us through our blog.
